In 1995, through the connection of the then Honorary Member Dr. Anita Leung Fung-yee, the Club launched “Project Wok”, building satellite dishes for poor and remote villages in China where TV signal could hardly reached. This allowed poor people in these areas to access the news, educational and cultural program of CCTV.
The Club also renovated two schools in Anhui, China in 1997 and built a Primary School in Shao Guan, China in 2000.
