On March 27, President Mark led a group consisting of Past Presidents Grace and Dora, and Rotarians Kelvin and Eliza to distribute hot meals to the elderly in the Cheung Sha Wan/Lai Chi Kok area. Our next outing is tentatively scheduled on April 17.
Past President Dora and Rotarian Eliza teamed up to hand deliver meals and other goodies to the elderly. Rotarian Kelvin also visited and personally delivered meals to half a dozen elderly (above) who were either too old or too immobile to collect the meals on their own. Extra surplus meals were also given to street sanitation workers in the Cheung Sha Wan area. Rotarian Kelvin was an instant favorite among the elderly as he could quickly point out obvious musculoskeletal issues and give timely and valuable recommendations, often reminding the elderly to keep exercising, even at home, and to use proper assistive ambulatory devices whenever possible.
