Club meeting — Rotaract Service Journey in Malaysia

On August 13, members of our Club welcomed 3 Rotaractors from Rotaract Club of Victoria, who spoke on the topic “Beyond the Headlines: A Rotaract Service Journey with the Rohingya Refugees in Malaysia.” During the meeting, the Rotaractors shared their experience serving the Rohingya refugee community in Malaysia, offering members a perspective that went beyond what is commonly encountered through news reports. Through their personal service journey, members learned more about the people and communities behind the headlines, as well as the value of direct engagement and service. It was also a special reunion for the Rotaractors as our Immediate Past President David was a Rotaractor and Past President of Rotaract Club of Victoria.

Joint School Interact High Tea

On July 7, President Grace and Past Presidents Angela and Lily attended the Joint School Interact High Tea hosted by Interact Club of St. Clare’s Girls’ School. Past Governor Andy Li was the guest speaker and shared with participants his Rotary journey as well as his remarkable sporting achievements. Through his experiences, he offered the young Interactors an inspiring glimpse into the opportunities for service, friendship, personal growth, and perseverance that can be found through Rotary and beyond. The gathering was a wonderful occasion for Rotarians and Interactors from different schools to meet and exchange ideas in a relaxed setting. It was an enjoyable afternoon of fellowship and inspiration, and a meaningful opportunity to strengthen the connection between Rotary and the next generation of young leaders.
