On February 26, President Elect Victor Lau of Rotary Club of The HUB Hong Kong visited our Club to explain to us in detail the upcoming joint-club project. The project leverages the knowledge-base and resource network of Rotary WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) program to deliver clean water to approximately 50 families in rural Thailand. President Elect Victor Lau explained that, before committing on the project, of which our Club is a supporting partner, he and several of his Club members traveled to rural Thailand to assess the needs and feasibility of delivering and installing WASH equipment there.
On February 12, our Club hosted a dinner meeting featuring our very own Rotarian Sammy Au as speaker. Rotarian Sammy, as professional fortune teller, explained what the year of the Fire Horse means to all of us. Plenty of spouses and guests joined the meeting, which also doubled as our Club’s Chinese reunion dinner (團年飯).
On February 7, President David, Past Presidents Grace, Angela, Lily and Jason, and Rotarian Joanna joined “輕馨鬆Zone”, a workshop designed for caregivers. The workshop was co-organized by our Club and Rotary Club of Neoteric Hong Kong. The purpose of the workshop was to encourage caregivers to share their feelings to other caregivers, and to find common strategies for physical and mental relaxation.
