39th Anniversary Party

On March 21, many members of our Club gathered at Royal Pacific Hotel to celebrate our Club’s 39th Anniversary, a joyful occasion filled with fellowship and celebration. The evening was honored by the presence of representatives from Rotary Club of Taoyuan Southeast and Rotary Club of Taipei Mingmen, as well as our daughter Club, Rotary E-Club of Lantau, and granddaughter Club, Rotary Club of Neoteric Hong Kong. Assistant Governor Wilson also attended in support, alongside our Honorary Member Vivien, adding to the warmth and significance of the celebration. The dinner was lively and memorable, with members and visiting Rotarians enjoying the opportunity to reconnect and strengthen friendships. Following the formal program, many continued the celebrations with after-party drinks, extending the spirit of fellowship late into the evening.

Visit to Yuk Chi Resource Centre

On March 21, many members of our Club, together with members from our sister clubs, visited Yuk Chi Resource Centre in Tuen Mun for a meaningful service engagement. The visit was to witness the fruits of the Rotary Global Grant project titled “Professional Therapy Services for Special Educational Need Early Childhood,” an initiative aimed at supporting young children with special educational needs through professional therapy services. The project was made possible with the strong support of our sister clubs, Rotary Club of Taoyuan Southeast and Rotary Club of Taipei Mingmen, reflecting the power of international collaboration within Rotary. During the visit, participants gained a deeper understanding of the Centre’s work and the positive impact of early intervention on children and their families. The experience was both insightful and inspiring, reinforcing our Club’s shared commitment to service and to creating lasting change in the community.

Welcoming our Sister Club Visitors

On March 20, many members of our Club warmly welcomed our sister club visitors with great enthusiasm and care, making special arrangements to greet them at the airport upon arrival in Hong Kong. Members made two separate trips to the airport to receive our guests, ensuring that each group was personally welcomed despite differing flight schedules. In the evening, some of the visitors enjoyed a relaxing boat cruise, taking in the beautiful harbor scenery. To accommodate arrival times, two separate welcoming dinners were also organized, allowing all guests to experience the hospitality and fellowship of our Club. The day was filled with a jolly and festive atmosphere, marked by laughter, meaningful conversations, and the renewal of long-standing friendships. It was a wonderful start to the visit, setting the tone for deeper connections and shared Rotary spirit in the run up to the next day’s Club anniversary party.

Island Scout Trail Walk 2026

On March 15, Island Scout Trail Walk 2026, our signature Club event, was held in partnership with Hong Kong Scouts Island Region. The event began early in the morning when the first teams started their 50km run, but a kick-off ceremony was held at Chi Fu podium at around noon. The prize presentation ceremony was held later in the afternoon at The Peak. The kick-off ceremony was led by Past President Grace, with Past Presidents Mark and Jason in attendance. The prize presentation ceremony was led by President David. District Governor Cassy also attended the ceremony and helped to congratulate prize winners.

Rotary Ultramarathon

On March 1, a large delegation led by President David participated in Rotary Ultramarathon x End Polio Walk, organized by our District. A 50km relay team, managed by Past President Lily, comprised of: Past Presidents Jason, Webster and Mark, as well as two siblings and a cousin of Rotarian Joanna. The team managed to finish the 50km within 5 hours, and placed in the top one-third of all Rotary relay teams. Meanwhile, Rotarian Joanna joined Past Presidents Grace and Lily to cheerlead and participate in the shorter but festive End Polio Walk. Past President Lily was an organizing committee member, while Past President Webster, putting on his hat as Legislative Councillor, was one of the event’s guest of honors. Our Club was a Tier 1 supporter of End Polio Walk and a bronze supporter of the Ultramarathon.
