On September 27, Charter President Patrick led a Club delegation including Past Presidents Eddie and Lily, and Rotarian Ka Man to attend the Club installation of Rotaract Club of HKU Lap Chee College International. Rotarians mingled with Rotaractors, who are eager to work with Rotarians on different services. President Destiny Brown gave a detailed plan of upcoming activities. The installation was also attended by Assistant Governor Wilson Shum, District Rotaract Chair Gabriel Wong, District Rotaract Representative Billy Ho, and Deputy District Rotaract Chair Steven Wong.
On September 25, our Honorary Member Vivien Lau visited our Club and gave a presentation on Paralympics and parabowling. Many members joined the dinner meeting to listen to the sharing by Vivien, who is arguably the “mother” of athlete support in Hong Kong.
On September 20, Past President Angela and Rotarian (and DEI Chair) Joanna attended District Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Seminar. We are happy to announce that Rotarian Joanna came in 4th during the quiz session!
On September 18, our Club had a fellowship outing at Hong Kong City Hall — not an ordinary outing but a chance to see our Charter President Patrick perform on stage! The occasion was a fundraising concert for Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, where we sponsor a Rotary Community Corps.
On September 13, several Club members visited our long-term service partner, Yuk Chi Resource Centre. On occasion, we gifted boxes of mooncakes for the Centre staff to share with carers. The mooncakes were sourced from Holy Cafe, another one of our long-term service partners.
On September 11, our Club hosted the first Club Assembly of Rotary Year 2025-26. During the dinner meeting, we also took the opportunity to celebrate birthday boys and girls around this time of the year.
