On May 14, many members of our Club attended a meaningful dinner meeting featuring Mr. Wong Yim-Wa Martin, who shared the work and mission of the Hong Kong Transplant Sports Association. During the presentation, Mr. Wong explained how the Association promotes and organizes sports activities and competitions for organ transplant recipients and dialysis patients, helping them to achieve both physical and emotional recovery. Through participation in sports, members are encouraged to improve their fitness, develop confidence, realize their potential, and face life with greater optimism and positivity. The Association also assists members in accessing sports resources and opportunities within the community. Mr. Wong further spoke about the importance of honoring organ donors and their families, whose generosity has transformed many lives. Through sporting events and public activities, the Association promotes awareness of organ donation and the positive impact of organ transplantation, while also serving as a platform connecting individuals and organizations involved in donation and transplant services. The meeting was both inspiring and educational, leaving members with a deeper appreciation for the power of resilience, compassion, and service.
