During Charter President Patrick’s speech, he mentioned that Rotary philosophy of service above self is one of his chief guiding principles when he does philanthropic deeds. Plenty other District dignitaries were present, including District Governor Wilson Cheng, Past Governors Moses Cheng (Chairman of the University’s Council), Anthony Hung, Jones Wong, Peter Wan, Ada Cheng, YC Ho, and District Governor Nominee Keith Chow.
On September 26, our Club’s first Assembly of RY19-2 was held. Many topics were discussed. Congratulations to Past President Samuel for achieving a new philanthropy milestone!
As July arrives, members are busy attending various Club Installations in the District. Amongst the most important Installations are those of our mother Club (Rotary Club of HK Island East), baby Club (Rotary E Club of Lantau), and grandbaby Club (Rotary Club of Neoteric Hong Kong).
Our mother Club, Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island East, hosted the annual 4-clans meeting today. As usual, our Club sent a strong delegate of eight, led by President Lily Chan. Past President Eddie Wong also attended, and was spotted mingling with our District Governor YC.
