On November 6, Charter President Patrick and Past Presidents Kay, Grace and WT attended the installation of Interact Club of King’s College.
On September 27, Charter President Patrick led a Club delegation including Past Presidents Eddie and Lily, and Rotarian Ka Man to attend the Club installation of Rotaract Club of HKU Lap Chee College International. Rotarians mingled with Rotaractors, who are eager to work with Rotarians on different services. President Destiny Brown gave a detailed plan of upcoming activities. The installation was also attended by Assistant Governor Wilson Shum, District Rotaract Chair Gabriel Wong, District Rotaract Representative Billy Ho, and Deputy District Rotaract Chair Steven Wong.
On September 18, our Club had a fellowship outing at Hong Kong City Hall — not an ordinary outing but a chance to see our Charter President Patrick perform on stage! The occasion was a fundraising concert for Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, where we sponsor a Rotary Community Corps.
On July 3, Charter President Patrick led a large entourage comprising of Past Presidents Eddie, Grace, Angela, WT, Dora, Ricky, Lily and Jason to attend the 10th Anniversary and Club Installation of Rotary E-Club of Lantau.
On April 25, Charter President Ka Man and Rotarian Ka Man visited our Rotary Community Corps at Hang Seng University Patrick SC Poon Amity College. They listened to our RCC members’ presentation and also bid farewell to College Master Professor Thomas Man, who is leaving the College at the end of the school year.
On March 10, Charter President Patrick, Past President Grace and Immediate Past President Jason attended Past Presidents Dinner, organized by our District.
On December 1, President David kicked off our District Grant project to alleviate the physical and mental stress experienced by street cleaners. The project initiates a series of events and informal talks surrounding physical and mental health, and concludes by providing physical and mental stress relief by way of free remedial sessions to eligible street cleaners in the Tsuen Wan and Kwun Tong districts. On occasion, President David offered Chinese medical help to several in need.
On November 29, President David, Charter President Patrick and Past President Kay attended the Club Installation of Interact Club of King’s College, where Interactors reported past activities and plans for future ones.
On November 23, President David and other members witnessed the installation of the new Board of Directors of our Rotaract Club of HKU Lap Chee College International. President David and Charter President Patrick gave speeches to congratulate the new Rotaract President Irina Duan, the new Rotaract board and encourage them to serve above self. We were most pleasantly surprised to see that Sally Oh, previously our Rotaract Club’s president, is now a senior resident tutor of the College and a Rotaract Advisor. Congratulations to President Irina, Sally, and the new Rotaract Board!
On November 20, our Club participated in 4-Clans Meeting, hosted by Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island East. Nearly 100 participants attended the meeting, featuring Ms. Bernadette Tsui, who talked about the circle of life as her life was transformed by Rotary, initially through a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship and then friendships with Rotarians. She was invited to the meeting by Charter President Patrick. Vote of Thanks was given by Past President Antonio.
